Gramvikas Sanstha has started the programme of “Our Development in Our Hand” in 2003 at Wawa village of Paithan taluka of Aurangabad district. Under the head of this programme many activities were carried out for the development of the village in these activities all the villagers of Wawa have participated. The government of Maharashtra has awarded Adarsh Gaon' in the year 2011.

The Project highlights of “Our Development in Our Hand Adarsh Gaon” at Wawa village.

• The 95 households of Wawa villages consists the population of 519.
• The village has 23 households who are from below poverty line and 18 households are of landless people.
• Watershed zone is 722 hectare and land slop is under 5 percent.
• To achieve the integrated development of wawa village, established various subject wise committees at local level.
• Fiften self help group has been formed at Wawa village, this has helped the women and young girls to earn livelihood by active participants.
• Following things are band in Wawa villages for the development of village they are as follow, grazing, tree cutting, alcohol, open defection, bore well.

  In upcoming years Gramvikas Sanstha will work for the landless farmers, women and youths, the livelihood training will be provided to them so that they can become self dependent and self employed. Along with all this activity other important work will also be carried out such like construction of Dhobi Ghat for washer women, Cement concrite road, school compound, by doing this activities Gramvikas Sanstha’s aim is to make the Wawa village One of the best model village of Marathwada region.
