“Wasundhara” (IWMP-17)

  The “Wasundhara” project is run by the financial support of central government ministry of Rural Development of India. In respect of this project, the project area is to the south direction distance of 12 km from Aurangabad city. Gramvikas Sanstha implement this project in the area of 6427 hectare land which covers 25 villages like Tande,wadi,basti are included and population of 15000 is covered under this project.

Wasundhara – IWMP-17- Project Highlights
  • The area covered in this project consist 22 percent of population of those who are below poverty line and 10 percent of population is landless.
  • IWMP-17 Projects land slope is 3 to 35 percent. It also includes 19 micro watersheds.
  • Project area average Rainfall 650mm & permanent irrigation land 441 hectare.
  • In this project area wasteland is 2136 hectare & North Latitude 19.793221N Longitudes 75.407590E.
